Obituary of Charles Richard Owen

The death of Charles “Charlie” Richard Owen, of Saint John, NB, husband of the late Davidina “Dev” (Winchester) Owen, occurred on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Ripples, NB, he was a son of the late Charles and Rita (Coffen) Owen. Charlie was employed with CN as a truck driver for 36 years. He is survived by sons, Richard (Patti) Owen of Saint John, Robert Owen of Saint John; daughters, Fay Owen (Peter Foster), Denise (Don) Baker, Heather Owen, Terry (James) Gault, Dawn (Allan) Firlotte, Darlene Owen (Jim Burnett) all of Saint John and Lori (Steve) Walton of Hampton; sisters, Eleanor Cook of Rothesay, Norma (Lawrence) Falls of Brantford, ON; twenty four grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by brother, David. By the request of Charlie there will be no visitation. Interment will take place in St. Andrews Cemetery, Golden Grove at a later date. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB.
