Obituary of Gladys Jean Ritchie
Ritchie, Gladys Jean … Gladys (Butler) Ritchie passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre in Hampton, NB at the age of 79. She is survived by her only daughter, Suzann Ritchie (Dan Griffith); two grandchildren, whom she loved very much, Kaala and Adam; a sister, Sylvia Schlichtenhorst of BC and a brother, Glendon of ON. She was predeceased by two sisters, Elvera Grady and Zita Kaminski; three brothers, Harold, Raymond and Walter; as well as, several nieces and nephews, whom she loved to tease and they were an important part of her life. A very special thank you to the staff of the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre for providing excellent care with a personal touch. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424. At the request of the family there will not be any visiting at the funeral home. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Waterloo St., Saint John on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of a charity of the donor’s choice.
