Obituary of Arthur T. Hunter
Hunter, Arthur T. - The death of Arthur “Art” Tobias Hunter of St. Martins, occurred on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in St. Martins he was a son of Estella (Martin) and the late Frederick Hunter. Before his retirement Art was employed with the Port of Saint John as a stevedore and was a member of ILA Local 273. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, worked in the woods and was quite a handyman. Besides his mother he is survived by two sons, Jody (Tanya) Hunter of St. Martins, Rick (Kim) Miller of Saint John; one daughter Lana Robertson of Saint John; one brother, Wayne (Kris) Hunter of Bains Corner; five sisters, Jennie Hunter of Bains Corner, Maysie Hunter of Quebec, Marietta Jackson of Sussex, Lillian Sommerton of Newfoundland and Dorothy Nelligan of British Columbia; nine grandchildren, Travis, Ashley, Brandon, Caitlin, Kyle, Zachary, Jordon, Rick Jr. and Chrissy, special nephew Stephen Shanklin, several other nieces and nephews. Besides his father he was predeceased by one son, Michael, three brothers, Howard, Harold and Truman, one sister, Rose. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 7-9 pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2007 in Brown’s Cemetery, Bains Corner at 11:00 am. Remembrances may be made to the NB Lung Association or the
