Obituary of Norman Joseph Reicker
The death of Norm Reicker of Woodmans Point, NB occurred at his residence on Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Born on June 6, 1933 at Saint John, he was a son of the late Frank and Ethel (Lamb) Reicker. Norm worked at Kimberley Clark/Irving Tissue Ltd. until his retirement. An avid hunter and fisherman, Norm loved the outdoors, and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and growing fruit trees. In his later years, Norm enjoyed looking after his outdoor “friends”, the many animals and birds he fed from the patio of his home. Norm is survived by his one son, Tim (Cathy Ramsay) of Hampton, NB; three daughters: Tanya “Tammy”(Terry) Laskey of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, Tina (John Rowell) Pitre and Tricia Kaminsky both of Saint John, NB; their mother: Eleanor (Cosman) Reicker; one sister: Audrey (Glen) D’arcy of Saint John, NB; eight grandchildren: Joshua, Jenna, Andrew, Chrissy, Christopher, Alison, Delaney and Hanna and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Norm was predeceased by one brother Ronald and an infant grandson Trevor John “TJ”. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, with visitation on Friday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:00 AM. The interment will take place following the funeral in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to Romero House-Soup Kitchen or the IWK Health Centre would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
