Obituary of Richard Wayne Steeves
STEEVES, RICHARD “RICK” W.- The death of Richard “Rick” Wayne Steeves of Saint John, NB, husband of Diane (Vautour) Steeves, occurred on Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on September 5, 1958, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Bernice (Conway) Steeves. Rick was the owner/operator of Port City Cab. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children: Richard Steeves (Joni), Brad Steeves (Amanda) Adam Steeves and Michelle Steeves, all of Saint John; two brothers, Billy Steeves (Carol) and Mark Steeves (Pam), both of Saint John; four sisters: Linda Meunier (Ronald) of Saint John, Barb Steeves, Jeannie Fernandez-Steeves (Edwardo) and Cindy Steeves all of Toronto, ON; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Marilyn Miller. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 1pm. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or a charity of the donor’s choice.
