Obituary of Margaret Jean Walker
The death of Margaret Jean Walker of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Ralph W. Walker, occurred on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, January 15, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Michael Edward and Frances Loretta (Daley) Cullinan and had been a life long resident of the North End. Margaret had been employed as cashier and book-keeper with the Dominion Stores, King Square and Thorne Ave. She was a member of the CWL at Holy Trinity Church and was also a member of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary. Survived by two sisters: Audrey Pettie of Hamilton, ON and Frances Lavigne of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Ralph; three brothers: Joseph, Edward and John; two sisters: Mary Cullinan and Catherine Bernard. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Trinity Church on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 12 noon. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Holy Trinity Building Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.
