Obituary of Cheryl ‘Lynn’ Mahar
Mahar, Cheryl ‘Lynn’ The death of Lynn Mahar occurred unexpectedly on February 2, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Black’s Harbour, NB she was the daughter of the late Lindell and Mae (Stevens) Mahar. She had been employed with Red Rose Tea and Regis Inventory Services and was currently employed with Empire Theatres. She volunteered at Forest Hill School, enjoyed playing cards and being with her family. Spending time at ‘the Lake’ held a special place in her heart. Surviving are her sister Hyla Scott (Michelle), brothers Wayne (Debbie), Stephen (Twila), Donald (Lois), all of Saint John, her nieces and nephews Terra, Bonnie, Angie, Teegan, Christopher and Jamie, great-nieces Becky, Katie ‘Peanut’, Jocelyn and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her special great-aunt and great-uncle Merle and Joe Chambers and aunt Audrey Thorne. At her request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424). Remembrances made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
