Obituary of Curtis Arthur Dennison
The death of Curtis Arthur Dennison of Saint John West, NB, husband of the late Vera (Hamilton) Dennison, occurred on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Harcourt, NB, he was a son of the late Arthur N. and Elizabeth F. (Young) Dennison. During WWII Curtis served with the 8th AA Battery RCA as a gunner instructor (1939 – 1945). Prior to his retirement he was employed with Canada Wire and Cable as foreman. Survived by three sons, Curtis (Carolyn) and Richard (Barbara), both of Sussex, NB, and Malcolm (Micki) of Medicine Hat, AB; six daughters, Sharon (Norman) Wilson and Patricia (Joseph) Mercer, both of Sussex, Gloria (Anthony) Lawson and Hazel “Heidi” Holtom (Tom Horne), both of Red Deer, AB, Doris Dennison and Florence (Charles) Marshall, both of Saint John; one brother, Malcolm of Saint John; three sisters, Florence (Eric “Bud”) Record of Texas, Lois (Albert) Wooden of Norton, NB and Virginia (Joseph) Hodgins of Ontario; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Vera (May 2005);daughter, Gwendolyn; brother, Reginald Donald; four sisters, Myrtle Bernice, Elma Blizzard, Joyce Webber, Gloria Greene; and sister-in-law, Shirley. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 10 am. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to any charity of choice.
