Obituary of Lois Eleanor Currie
The death of Lois Eleanor Currie occurred unexpectedly on April 30, 2008 at her residence. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Ronald W. and Bernice Maude (Taylor) Currie. She was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church (Main Street), a member of the St. Luke’s Women’s Guild, a member of the St. Luke’s Prayer Group, served on vestry and taught Sunday School over the years. She was a graduate of Saint John Vocational School and had been employed with Cody Food Equipment for 38 years. Surviving are her brothers; Sterling Currie and his wife Marcia of Moncton, Norman Currie and his wife Shirley of Toronto, her sister; Lillian Cable of Toronto, devoted cousins Doris and Murray Carpenter and several nieces and nephews. Her brothers Ronald and Robert Currie and sister Myrtle Snare predeceased her. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 pm. The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 am from St. Luke’s Anglican Church. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
