Obituary of Doris Irene Magee
It is with sadness the family announces that Doris was taken into God’s hands on March 23, 2007 after a brief illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Doris was born in Saint John NB on June 13, 1920 to Charles and Agnes (Quinn) Hill. Doris is survived by her sister Mary Hogan and sons James( Marie) McLaughlin, John( Kathy) McLaughlin, Joseph( Linda) McLaughlin and step sons Richard (Margaret) Magee of Venice Florida, Kenneth (Jillian) Magee of St Lazare Quebec, Donnie Magee of St Lambert Quebec, and step daughters Monique(Gilles) Des Ruisseaux of St Lambert Quebec, Anne(Raymond) Langlois of St Luc Quebec, and Gerry Magee of St Lambert , Quebec. Doris was pre deceased by her husbands Hiram McLaughlin, and Alan Magee and stepdaughter Lucille (Greg) Sucharczuk. Doris is also survived by grandchildren - Cail, Jonathan, Jennifer, Sarah, Laura and several step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Doris was a member of the St Vincent’s Alumni, an honorary member of the 30 Up Club, a former member of the Forever Young Club, former member of the Holy Trinity CWL, a member of CNR Pensioner’s Club #2, and the Admiral Beatty Social Club. At Doris’s request there will be no visitation, and in lieu of flowers, remembrances and donations should be made to the Holy Trinity Church Building Fund PO Box 141, Saint John NB E2L 3X8. A Holy Mass of Requiem will be celebrated on Thursday March 29, 2007 at 12 Noon from Holy Trinity Church. A reception will follow the Service in the Church Family Center. A private family interment will follow the reception at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home (506-634-7424).
