Obituary of Lois S. Welsford
The death of Lois Stuart Welsford of Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, wife of the late Donald F. Welsford, occurred on Friday, August 10, 2007 at her residence. Born in Saint John on March 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mabel (Burgess) Wilson. Mrs. Welsford worked with her husband at Welsford Drug Store for many years. She had a lifelong love of writing and painting and was a member of the Saint John Art Club. Lois enjoyed spending time with her friends and family at the Isle of Pines. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by one son, Frederick Welsford (Natalie Folster) of Saint John, one daughter, JoEllen Welsford (Don McCallan) of Ottawa, ON, grandson, Mark Welsford, three great grandchildren, Kaylei, Emily and Shawn Welsford, one niece, Kathryn Snow and one nephew, Harold Snow. She was predeceased by one sister, Marnie Snow. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 13, 2007 at 2:15 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances to Rocmaura Foundation or the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick would be appreciated. The family wish to give many thanks to the caring and compassionate staff of Rocmaura Nursing Home.
