Obituary of Ronald Ralph Lawrence
Lawrence, Ronald (Ron) R. – Unexpectedly the death of Ronald (Ron) Ralph Lawrence of Darlings Island occurred on April 28, 2009 at his residence. Born on December 5, 1943 he was a son of Violet Lawrence and the late Murray Love. Ron was employed with Irving Oil Ltd. for 44 years as a Team Leader until his retirement. He was an avid movie buff and enjoyed woodworking in his shop. Besides his mother he is survived by one daughter, Sherri Lawrence of Darlings Island; two sons, Steven Lawrence of Hampton and Scott Lawrence of Saint John; twelve brothers and sisters, Brian (Linda) Spragg, Terry Spragg, James Spragg, Sandra (Hans) Langguth, Carole Spragg and Melody (Colin) Coady, Ronald Love, Raymond Love, James (Lena) Love, Gail (Ed) Sloan, Barbara (Danny) Rasch, and Sandra (Kevin) Losier; four grandchildren, Justin and Matthew Pothier, Stephanie and Michael Lawrence, several nieces and nephews. Besides his father he was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Bertin) Lawrence and sister, Glenna Love-Davis. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, April 30, 2009 and Friday, May 1, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 10:30 am. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB. www.brenansfh.com
