Obituary of Beatrice Trenholm
The death of Beatrice Trenholm occurred on Wenesday July 9, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a period of failing health. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Buckley) Nelson. Beatrice was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Keith; daughters, Christina McKelvie Mahoney Wilford, Barbara Tippett Craig (Ralph), Mamie Tippett Freeze (Ernie), Elizabeth Tippett Smith (Gordon); sons, Ronald McKelvie (Wilma), Donald McKelvie (Marie), William McKelvie (Shirley); daughter-in-law, Jane Tippett; and son-in-law, James McCarron. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews and special friends Allyn and Sylvia Bell of Belleisle Creek; and Debbie Girouard of Saint John. She was predeceased by a son Douglas Tippett in 2001, and a daughter Elsie McKelvie Gibbons McCarron on June 28, 2008. Beatrice was the widow of the late William McKelvie and R. Lawson Tippett. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday, July 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances made to Saint John Baptist (Mission Church) and St. Clement Building Fund would be appreciated.
