Obituary of Troy Joseph Doiron
The unexpected death of Troy Joseph Doiron of Rothesay, NB, occurred on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at his residence. Born in Saint John, NB on March 20, 1983 he was the grandson/son of Donna Saunders whom he called “nan-mom” and son of Stella Doiron both of Rothesay. Troy is survived by his loving son, Tyler Joseph Doiron-Erb and his mother, Jennifer Erb of Saint John; one brother, Brandon Joseph Vautour of Rothesay; one uncle, Robert (Judy) Doiron and their son, Alex of Fredericton, NB; one aunt, Valarie Saunders of Saint John; one great-uncle, Douglas; three great-aunts, Jackie, Lilly and Blanche; several cousins; special friends, Natalie Cooper, Mark Shaw, Scott Mullin, Matt Allen, Jeremy Hurley, Joanne Cyr and many other close friends, who are too numerous to name. Predeceased by one uncle, James Joseph Doiron. Troy had a great passion for Hockey, playing for many teams in the Rothesay and Saint John area. He was an assistant coach of Rothesay High School Hockey Team. Troy never missed a Flames or Sea Dogs game, he was their biggest fan. His favorite hockey team was the Montreal Canadians. The family would like to send special thanks to the Rothesay Police Department especially, Don McKinnon and Peter Breen; management and staff of Colwell’s Men’s Fashions, Brunswick Square; Big Brother Daryl Hamilton; his mentor, Mike Hazen; special teacher, Martha Comeau; and godmother, Sharyn Murphy. The family would also like to extend sincere thanks and gratitude for all the kind gestures during this difficult time. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Gondola Point Rd, on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Kidney Foundation or any charity of choice. www.brenansfh.com
