Obituary of Gerard Joseph Breau
Breau, Gerard Joseph - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerard Joseph Breau "Gerry #1" which occurred peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Tracadie, NB on November 18, 1923, he was a son of the late, Joseph and Annie (Russell) Breau. Gerry called Saint John his home for 45 years, where he was a notable member of A.A. where he earned his title "Gerry #1", he had many friends and loved all with a special mention of Rheal, Myrna, Dave and Leona. He leaves behind two daugthers, Kathy Breau and Cindy Breau; one son, Peter Breau; two granddaughters, Melissa Keating (Bob) and Kelly Breau (Keith); two great-grandsons, Robbie and Tyler Keating. Gerry was predeceased by his wife, Gladys (White) Breau; brothers, Fred, Ned and Alfred Breau and sister, Lovina. He would not want us to focus on the sadness of his death but instead look at the happiness we still have in our lives. He would want us to look at each other and appreciate what we have together and what we hope to make better. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 10:00 am from Brenan's Chapel. Interment to take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. www.brenansfh.com
