Obituary of Audrey Vivian Smith
The death of Audrey Vivian Smith, wife of the late Leslie Smith, occurred on Monday, November 29, 2010, at Turnbull Nursing Home, Saint John. Born on June 25, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lottie (Kearns) Queen. Audrey was the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was the youngest of eight children. Surviving are her children, Bill Smith of Alberta; Marilyn (Jack) Evans, Sandra Smith both of Grand Bay – Westfield; grandchildren, Stephen (Andrea) Evans; Jeffrey (Michelle) Smith; Timothy Smith; Christina (Tim) Evans; great grandchildren, Jenna, John, Julia, Tyler and Jessica, several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her grandson, Jason Smith and son-in-law, Paul Smith. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday, 2-9 p.m.. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010, from Westfield United Church, in the town of Grand Bay-Westfield at 2 PM. Interment will take place Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to the Jason Smith Memorial Fund, Alzheimer’s Society of New Brunswick or any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Turnbull Nursing Home for the care and concern extended to our mom and us the family. A special thank-you to Audrey’s niece and special friend, Gayle Murphy.
