Obituary of Ralph Emmerson MacDougall
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ralph MacDougall. He went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on at Bloomfield, PEI and moved to Saint John in the early 1950’s. Ralph worked for the City of Saint John, Ed’s Taxi and many years at CN Railway. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. Ralph was a loving husband to his wife, Rita (Brydges) (Black) MacDougall; loving father to daughter, Deborah Trites (David); sons: Art (Tina), Allan (Irene), Kenny (Wendy) and Philip (Kerry); grandchildren: Natalie (Andrew), Justin (Miranda), Mark, Scott (Katie), Brent, Kendra, Hilary, Matthew, William and James; great grandchildren: Konnor, Madison, Olivia and Parker; step-children; Judith (Frank), David (Joanne) and Carol (Wilfred); eight step-grandchildren; sister; Eleanor Baxter (Robert); sisters-in-law; Betty, Theresa and Vera MacDougall and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his first wife, Annetta (Holmes) MacDougall and parents Fraser and Sadie (McAusland) MacDougall, Ralph was predeceased by his brothers, Ernest, Cecil, David, Lloyd and Charles and sister, Elizabeth Ferguson. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, April 12, 2010 at 2 PM. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the MS Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Main Street Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
