Obituary of Harold P. Greenlaw
Harold P. Greenlaw of Saint John passed away on Monday, February 01, 2010 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. Born at St. Andrews on October 29, 1927, he was a son of the late Harold and Ruby (Thorne) Greenlaw. Harold was a welder, and worked for many years at Saint John Shipbuilding, and had lived 15 years in Scotland. He was also a member of the Saint John Police Force for 20 years. Harold is survived by his step-daughter, Deborah Ellick and her husband Jeff, along with their children Oren, Luke and Chelsie; and his caregiver, Brenda Barton, who gave several years of excellent care and service. Special thanks to Nicky Hamburg and all the wonderful staff at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. In keeping with Harold’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be observed at this time. Interment will take place in the St. Andrew’s Rural Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the SPCA would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
