Obituary of Gordon Ronald Rackley
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gordon Rackley husband of Lenna Rackley of Hampton, NB at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 8, 2010. Gordon was born in Saint John, NB on April 14 1948, he is the son of Margaret (Dolly) Rackley and the late Ronald Rackley. Gordon worked at LaBatts Brewery for 28 years until they closed. He has then worked many years at the Refinery with Jacobs & Aluma, Aluma being his present job at PLGP were he made many friends. Gordie's most favorite time was being in Daytona for Bike Week, Thank you Gerry and Delle Erb for making that happen for him. Other than the love he had for his Children, Family & Grandchildren Gordie LOVED Elvis, he was a big fan of his and never missed having a party for Elvis's Anniversary; Gordie also loved his Harley Davidson, his long time dream. Besides his parents and wife, Gordie is survived by his children Gordon Rackley Jr (Sarah) Halifax, NS, Kelly Rackley (Tom) St John, NB Catlin Rackley, Arin Rackley and Ashley Rackley all of Hampton NB; six grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Justin, Colin and Lily, Halifax, NS, Mikala, Nikita and Shakeria Saint John, NB; sister, Doris “Sis” (Danny) Gautreau Quispamsis, niece Shannon McNulty and family Montreal, nephew Nick Gautreau, Quispamsis. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to the Animal Rescue League or a charity of the donor’s choice.
