Obituary of Lillian Mary Day
The death of Lillian Mary Day wife of the late David Garrick Day, occurred on Monday, November 29, 2010 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Lillian was born in Saint John on December 11, 1932, she was a daughter of the late William and Celia (Reeves) Ricketts. Lillian graduated from Saint John High School and the Anglican Bible College of Toronto. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and remained actively involved with her faith for her entire life. Lillian is survived by her four children, David (Patsy) Day, Debbie Carruthers, Kim Symonds, and Rose Day; one brother, Walter Ricketts; one sister, Joyce Collins; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother, William Ricketts and one sister, Margaret Ricketts. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
