Obituary of Margaret Irene Hubley
Margaret I. Hubley, Saint John, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brave fight with cancer. Born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on April 13, 1937, she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Oickle) Abric. Margaret enjoyed many pastimes such as playing bingo with friends, collecting souvenir spoons from far-away lands and watching television game shows. But nothing made Margaret happier than her family. Whether catching up with them regularly by telephone, visiting them or being visited, family was the most important thing in Margaret’s life. She made many sacrifices in her life for her family and for that, her children will always be grateful and her memory will live on through them. Margaret will be sadly missed by her family, sons, Gary (Kevin) Abric, Toronto; Earl (Nancy) Hubley, Roy (Debbie) Hubley, George (Maureen) Hubley, Keith (Jolene) Hubley, all of Saint John, NB; daughter, Kim (Serge) Hubley, Bathurst; siblings, Helen (Jack) Marsh, Saint John; George (Sheila) Abric, BC; Carol Abric, Saint John; Doris (Jim) Soucy; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Ethel Kenney; brother, Clyde Abric; granddaughter, Staylina. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, February 28, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, March 1, 2010 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances in memory of Margaret may be made to a donation of one’s choice.
