Obituary of Robb L. Mahon
The death of Robb “Bob” Lawrence Mahon of Rothesay, NB, occurred at his residence on Saturday, February 13, 2010. Born in Bass River, NS, on September 12, 1926, he was a son of the late Harold and Elizabeth (MacCallum) Mahon. Bob was a professional Accountant in Truro, New Glasgow, Halifax and Saint John for many years before working at Irving Paper until his retirement in 1991. He spent many happy hours participating in tennis, golf and badminton. He was a former member of the Rothesay Tennis Club and Riverside Golf Club, he was also a member of Saint David’s United Church. Bob is survived by his wife, Helen O. (Patterson) Mahon; his son, Murray Mahon; sisters, Edna Livingstone of Middleton, NS and Abbie Reed of Montreal, QC; sister-in-law, Rita Mahon of Truro, NS and Marguerite Patterson of Fredericton, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews. Robb was predeceased by his brother, Claude Mahon; brother-in-laws, Muir Patterson (Nina) of Upper Stewiacke, NS and Walter Patterson of Fredericton, NB. Arrangements under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424. A Graveside Service will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke, NS at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Nature Conservancy of Canada or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
