Obituary of Myrtle Catherine Dionne

Myrtle Catherine Dionne of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Joseph Dionne, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Turnbull Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on January 6, 1923 she was a daughter of the late Louis and Catherine (Weir) Walsh. Myrtle was a very active member in her ministry as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She is survived by her eleven children, Brian of Vancouver, BC; Louis, John, Lorraine (Dave) Piper, Brenda and Wendy Dionne all of Ontario; Robert (Angela) of Alberta; Joan (Paul) Durling of Pennfield, NB; Sandra (Mike) Brown of Quispamsis, NB; Paul (Rose) Dionne and Charmaine Dionne both of Saint John; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; one sister Barbara Campbell of Quispamsis; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son, Joseph Dionne; her grandson, Kevin Brown; four sisters, Eva, Lil, Hazel and Mary; six brothers, Louis, James, John, Joe, Percy and Merlin. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 12:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 67 Magazine Street, with a reception to follow.
