Obituary of Helen Marie Cole
The death of Helen Marie (Mitton) Cole of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Kerr L. Cole, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Port Elgin, NB, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Eunice (Robinson) Mitton. Helen was employed as a Pharmicist Assistant for many years. She was a member of the Altar Guild at St. George's Church where she was also a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi (Alpha Chapter), a member of the Hong Kong War Veteran's Association and a member of the Bridge Club. Survived by her sons; James (Heather) of Saint John, Stephen (Joan) of Oakville, ON, Paul of Saint John and Roy (Brenda) of Winnipeg, MB; brother, Charles Mitton (Mary) of Saint John; sister, Kathleen Hart of Moncton, NB; grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Leslie, David, Beth, Justin, Hilary and Julia; three great-grandchildren, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Helen was predeceased by her brother, David Grant Mitton. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424, with visiting on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 6 - 7 pm. Following visiting, the funeral service will be held at 7:30 pm from Brenan's Chapel. Interment to take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date.
