Obituary of Loretta Alice McHugh
The passing of Loretta McHugh, wife of the late Roy McHugh, formerly of Douglas Avenue occurred on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at her residence Rocmaura Nursing Home. She was born on November 1, 1913 at Yarmouth, NS to the late Camille and Louise (Handrahan) Bonnenfant. Loretta was a Registered Nurse, graduating from Chipman Memorial Hospital in 1943. She worked at the D.V.A. Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church and the Catholic Women’s League for over 40 years. She is survived by a very special friend, Norman Keizer; brother, Donald of Montreal, QC; sister, Marie McHugh of Saint John and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Loretta was predeceased by two brothers: Stewart and Robert Bonnenfant. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7 - 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter's Chruch, Clarendon Street on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM. A private family interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
