Obituary of Marilyn Harding White
It is with great sadness that the family of Marilyn Harding White announce her death, which occurred on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a brief illness. Born at Saint John on December 30, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Olive (Harding) Gault. Marilyn loved her family and enjoyed socializing with her friends. Most nights were spent meeting with her walk-about group. Her summers were spent in Long Reach where she enjoyed visits from family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, G. Donald White, in March 2010. Marilyn is survived by her three sons, Stephen of Gorham’s Bluff, Doug (Linda) of Long Reach, and David (Michele) of Saint John; her grandchildren whom she adored: Joe (Carolyn Brussee) of Quispamsis, Christine Thorpe (Steve) of Long Reach, Ben of Saint John and Nick of Saint John; her great grandson, Russ Thorpe of Long Reach; a sister, Norma St. Onge (Bob) of Grand Bay-Westfield; a brother-in-law, Harold Kelly of Florida; sisters-in-law Joyce Wells of Shamper’s Bluff and Janet Scribner of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews, including her precious niece Karolyn Kelly. In addition to her husband and to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Kelly, and sister-in-law Beverly Foster. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, September 20, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
