Obituary of Betty Lou Fawcett-Doiron
The death of Betty Lou Fawcett-Doiron of Saint John, wife of J. Alex Doiron, occurred on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on February 23, 1947 she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Pauline (Weaver) Fawcett. Betty was secretary of Crescent Valley Tenant’s Association. She loved to teach crafts to young children. Betty was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, they were the apple of her eye. She is survived by her three children, David Fawcett (Bev Handy); Heather Fawcett (Stephen Hawkins), and Christopher (Trina) Forrest; two brothers, John (Betty) Fawcett, and Douglas (Tracey) Fawcett; two sisters, Carol Ann (Michael) Vautour, and Lynda Fawcett; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Fawcett, Jennifer Fawcett, Courtney McFawn, Jayce Wickborn, Kirstin Forrest, Kelsey Forrest, and Keegan Forrest; one great-granddaughter, Jordyn Fawcett; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one sister, Patricia Broome; one nephew, Derrick Gonzales. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
