Obituary of Nora Marie Saunders
The death of Nora Marie (Wilson) Saunders of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Frank Saunders occurred on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in North Tay, NB, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Hawkes) Wilson. Formerly of Fredericton she was a 50 year member of St. Dunstan’s Parish and their CWL. While living in Saint John she was a parishioner of St. Joachim’s and a member of their CWL loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, faithful servant to God loving her daily masses and rosaries, she also loved current events. Nora is survived by two daughters: Barbara (Martin) Tessier of Oshawa, ON, Karin Duplessis of Saint John, NB; one brother, Irvine of Vancouver, BC; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by one son, John; one brother, Healey; one sister, Olive. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, with visiting on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joachim’s Church on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Hermitage Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances to St. Joachim’s Building Fund or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
