Obituary of Carol Ann Robblee
Carol Ann Robblee, wife of Phillip Robblee of New Maryland, NB, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton at the age of 66. Daughter of the late Walter Vincent and Mary (King) Breen, Carol Ann was born in Saint John, NB on December 9, 1943. She attended local schools, graduating from St. Vincent Girls High School. Her husband Phil served in the Canadian Armed Forces and they spent part of their lives in Germany, Kenya and other areas in Canada, finally making their retirement home in New Maryland, NB. Carol Ann was a devout Roman Catholic and a parishioner of St. Dunstan’s Parish in Fredericton, NB. She was an avid gardener and showed great respect for the underprivileged through her support of St. Vincent de Paul, Salvation Army Thrift Stores, local food banks and Romero House in Saint John. She is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Robblee and sons, Kevin (Rebecca) and Patrick (Wendy) of Ottawa, ON; sister, Joan Myers (Raymond) of Cambridge Narrows; brothers, Douglas (AnneMarie) of Saint John, Rev. Donald Breen of Quispamsis and David Breen of Burnaby, BC; grandchildren, Connor and Duncan Robblee and Emmette Robblee; step grandchildren, Lorris, Jessie, Miranda, Anastasia and Bridget Corsato; step great-grandchildren, Charlotte Denny and Dexter Cristin and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carol Ann was predeceased by 3 brothers, Michael, Robert and Daniel. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 12:00 Noon from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Fr. Donald Breen officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Carol Ann’s memory can be made to the DECH Palliative Care Unit, Fredericton Extra Mural or to any charity of the donor’s choice.
