Obituary of Louise Muriel Ferris

Surrounded by her loving family, the death of Louise “Minnie” Muriel (Dorbyson) Ferris, of Saint John, NB, wife of Bill Ferris, occurred at her residence on March 17, 2009. Born on October 17, 1939 in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Clark) Dorbyson. Over the years, Louise worked at NB Tel and G.E. Barbour, as well as providing home care support for others. She was a very good hearted person and would help any one that needed it. Besides her husband Bill, she is survived by sons William (Sandra), Matthew (Denise) of Saint John, NB, Wayne (Joan) of NS; daughters Christine (Albert) of Kingston Peninsula, NB, Debbie (George) Wright of Saint John, NB; sisters Annie Knee, Alice (Alfred) Roy, Marjorie Hudson and brother Ralph Dorbyson all of Saint John, NB; fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Louise was predeceased by daughter Kelly Maxwell, three sisters, Ethel, Ada, Joanie, three brothers, Mackie, Norman (Hobie) and Lewis. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday and Sunday, March 20 & 21, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Pentecostal Church, 130 Mark Drive, Saint John, NB, officiated by Rev. Terry Kennedy and Rev. George Howe. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of NB, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family
