Obituary of Jacqueline M. Remete
The death of Jacqueline “Jackie” M. Remete, of Saint John, NB, occurred on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born at Saint John, on April 15, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Gertrude (McCullum) Wright. Jackie was employed with the Saint John Police Department as the Chief of Police Secretary for many years. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years at Silver Falls United Church. She was a dedicated stay at home mom. Always there for friends and family. Survived by her loving husband, Frank Remete; her favorite son, Todd Remete (Abby and her son Daniel) and her favorite daughter, Kim Remete, both of Saint John; favorite sister, Heather Bennett (Gary) of Saint John; special angel her grandson, Nicholas Remete; favorite niece, Lauren Bennett and favorite nephew, Francois Remete. Jackie is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins Jackie was predeceased by her favorite brother, David Wright. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Sean Dolan and Dr. Douglas Brien for their compassion and care, Dr. Nguyen, and Dr. Wildish and the Palliative Care Unit staff . Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424, with visiting on Tuesday, October 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, at 12 noon from Brenan’s Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of the donor’s choice.
