Obituary of Alban Joseph LeBlanc
Surrounded by his loving family, the passing of Alban LeBlanc, husband of the late Constance L. LeBlanc, occurred on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at his residence. He was born on June 10, 1929 at Caraquet, NB to the late Pierre and Marguerite (Barriault) LeBlanc. Alban was an evening supervisor at the Saint John Regional Hospital for 37 years, until his retirement in 1993. He has been a member of several bowling leagues in Saint John. Alban was survived by his five daughters, Linda Kennedy (Allan), Sharon Morrell, Donna Dean (Andy), Phyllis LeBlanc (Carl) and Tammy Gillet (Kevin); five sons, Steve (Jill), Wayne (Lorraine), Alban Jr. (Cheryl), Dougie and Gary (Charlene); special companion, Regina Porter; brother, Leo LeBlanc; two sisters: Pauline Lever and Yvonne LeBlanc; 23 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Constance, Alban was predeceased by two brothers: Albini and Joe and his sister, Regina. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, 316 Somerset Street, Saint John on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to Cancer Research Society would be appreciated by the family.
