Obituary of Herman W. Trenholm
The death of Herman Wesley Trenholm of Saint John, NB, husband of Margaret (Hareguay) Trenholm, occurred on Monday, October 5, 2009 at Ridgewood Veterans Wing. Born in Port Elgin, NB, he was a son of the late Wesley and Bessie (Allen) Trenholm. He had served with the Navy during World War II. Herman was a Pastor with the Pentecostal Assembly of Canada; he enjoyed preaching, singing, playing guitar and winning souls. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Richard (Pat) Trenholm of Ottawa, Ronald (Dianne) Trenholm of Saint John; two daughters, Ruth Johnston of Dieppe, Rose (Jeff) Goodwin of Truro; one brother, Cedric (Mary) Trenholm of Moncton; one sister, Doris Murray of Saint John; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one daughter, Rebecca Trenholm, one sister, Betty Trenholm. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, with visiting on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 from Full Gospel Assembly at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Remembrances may be made to the “Renewed Hope Church of God”.
