Obituary of Frederick Raymond Boone

BOONE, FREDERICK RAYMOND of Saint John, NB passed on 28 November, 2010 at home. Husband of Lorraine (Johnson) Boone, he was born in Saint John on January 18, 1941 son of Edward and Audrey (Campbell) Boone. He graduated from Saint John Vocational School then became employed by J. Clark & Sons Ltd. In the early 70s he owned and operated Boone’s Texaco and later became a process operator at Irving Oil’s Saint John refinery where he worked until he became disabled. Fred had a passion for vehicles, especially his 55 Meteor, and was a member of the Valley Cruisers Car Club. He had a love for the countryside and all of nature and derived particular joy from his furry friends Homer and Sandy. He is survived by his daughter Wendy S. Harris of Saint John and son Duane J. Boone (Tina) of Fort McMurray, AB, cherished grandchildren Matthew, Jessica, Lindsay, Katy and Brittaney; step-grandchildren Justin and Nicholas; and precious great-grandson Parker; step-mother-in-law Shirley Johnson of Toronto. Left behind are his brother Paul Boone (Barbara) and sister Pamela Yearwood (Paul). Also survived by special cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, brother Jack Boone, and nephew Johnny Boone. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, with visitation on Tuesday, November 30 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 1 from Brenan’s Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with reception to follow. Private burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Clarendon, NB.
