Obituary of Sarah T. Regan
Sarah T. “Sally” Regan of Rothesay, wife of the late Donald C. Regan, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 03, 2010 at her residence. Born at Saint John on July 18, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Harold F. and Lillian M. (Heans) Hopkins. Sally was a life-long resident of Saint John, and a graduate of Saint John High School. She attended Mount Allison University, and was also a graduate of the MacDonald Institute in Guelph, Ontario. She worked with her husband at Clint Regan’s Mens Wear, and was a member of Centenary Queen Square United Church, where she volunteered at the Adult and Children’s Day Care for many years, and in her younger years was active with the United Church Women. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, and had a particular flair for decorating, but her greatest love was her family, and particularly her grandchildren whom she adored. Sally is survived by her daughters, Ann McInnis (Harold) of Saint John, and Cynthia Doyle (Michael) of Rothesay; her grandchildren, Andrew, Sarah, and Matthew Doyle; a sister, Margaret McKim (Donald) of Saint John; five nieces and one nephew. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM from St. David’s United Church, Rothesay. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
