Obituary of Jean C. Eldridge
The death of Jean Constance Eldridge of Saint John, NB, wife of the late, James Emerson Eldridge, occurred on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Renforth, NB on December 26, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Marion (Roberts) Ingleton. Jean served with the Navy during World War II. Jean was employed with Irving Oil as a secretary for many years before her retirement. Jean enjoyed golfing, curling and spending time with family and friends. She also told many stories of her many trips with Emerson. Besides her husband, Jean was predeceased by three sisters Elsie Gautschi, Marjorie Ingleton, Gladys Macintosh and two brothers William, and Philip Ingleton. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of choice. At Jean’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
