Obituary of Kenneth Richard White
The death of Ken White of Saint John, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on 23 July 2010. Ken was a veteran of WWII serving in the Carleton York Regiment, Anti Tank Platoon. He served in Canada, United Kingdom, Central Mediterranean Area & Continental Europe. He was on the fighting front lines of Italy for 18 months, and after Victory, served in the clean up operation for many months in Belgian and Holland before returning to Canada. Ken received medals and decorations 1939-45 Star, Italy Star, France-Germany Star, & the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Clasp. Survived by wife Vanda, daughter Katrina (Kier), sister-in -law Lena, brother-in-law Noble, nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by two sons Kirby & Joel. At request there will be no church service or visitation. Committal service of ashes will be placed in the family plot in St. Lukes Anglican Church Cemetery Young’s Cove Road at a later date. Those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. Lukes Cemetery Fund or charity of donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
