Obituary of Joan M. Goguen
Unexpectedly at her residence Joan M .Goguen , wife of the late Robert D. Goguen , of Saint John East, occurred on Monday May 31, 2010 Joan was born in Saint John and was a daughter of the late Stewart and Pearl (Sears) Campbell. She was a life long resident of Saint John and was a member of the Cathedral Parish. Joan was a long time member of the Glades and enjoyed darts, bowling, shuffleboard and was a New Brunswick champion and she loved to play bingo. She was a member of the former Saint John Press Club and for a time managed the Sportsmen’s Club. Joan was a very active member of the Liberal Party in Saint John East and a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion She was predeceased by three sisters Connie Campbell, Gloria Maillet and Dorothy Walsh. Three brothers George Campbell (Barbara), Gordon Campbell (Joan) and Stewart Campbell (the late Peggy) Joan is survived by her son Robert (Rob) W. Goguen (Ingrid) of Nauwigewauk N.B. grandson R. Joshua Floyd-Goguen, four sisters Bernice Nichols (the late William), Frances Pitt, Marion O’Neil (the late Vernon), and Margaret Danaher (the late Robert) all of Saint John as well as several nieces and nephews. Joan is resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row(634-7424) with visiting hours on Friday June 4th,2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday June 5th 2010 at 11 am. Following the service a reception will be held at Brenan’s Reception Center Paradise Row Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Monday June 7th 2010 at 1pm. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family
