Obituary of James Stanley Whitenect
The unexpected death of James “Sonny” Whitenect of Saint John, NB, husband of Wendy (Davis) Whitenect, occurred on Friday, July 9, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on April 10, 1956, he was a son of Shirley (Cook) and the late Stanley Whitenect James was a member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters local 213. He loved hunting, boating and camping, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. Survived by his loving wife, Wendy; three sons, James (Tammy), David and Evan Whitenect all of Saint John; two grandchildren, Madison and Noah; one brother, Howard (Sandra); two sisters, Cindy (Harry) Dempster and Katherine (Fred) Hanson; father-in-law, Donald Davis and all the Davis family; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Stanley Joseph “Junior”; two brothers, Stanley Joseph jr. and David Edward. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 10:00 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer Society or any charity of the donor’s choice. www.brenansfh.com
