Obituary of Clarence Gould
Clarence Gould of Quispamsis, husband of F. Alfreda (Freda) Byers, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Amherst, Nova Scotia on April 1, 1938, he was a son of the late Clarence and Ethel (Slack) Gould. Clarence worked as a crane operator, and was a member of the Seaman’s International Union. In addition to his wife, Clarence is survived by a son, Michael Gould of Victoria, BC; daughters Valerie Theriault (Maxwell) of Quispamsis, Anne Beshara (Thomas) of Quispamsis, and Tanya Robinson of Massachusetts, USA; a brother, Charles Gould (Rita) of Massachusetts; sisters Doreen van der Voort (Eric) of Amherst and Evelyn Gould of Amherst; grandchildren Kim Gould, Rachel Robinson, Tonya Smith, Tommy Beshara, Maxwell Theriault, Kyle Theriault, and Shane Theriault; great grandchildren Tori, Avery, and Nate Smith; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Clarence was predeceased by his first wife, Jeannie Dubé Gould; a son, Kevin Byers; and brothers Stan, Louis, and Earl Gould. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 2 … 5 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 5:00 PM from Brenan’s Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held in Amherst, Nova Scotia, on Monday, February 1, 2010 at a time and place to be announced. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
