Obituary of Rose M. Graves
The death of Rose M. Graves, wife of the late Doug Graves, occurred at the Loch Lomond Villa on Friday, December 11, 2009. Born in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late George and Viola (McPhee) Stevens and step-father, Ken Burr. Rose was employed for many years at the Box Mill on Milford Road. She enjoyed Karaoke, dancing and bowling. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and volunteer at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69. Survived by her son, Doug Graves Jr. (Sherry) of Saint John; daughters, Janette Walton (Larry) of NL, Bonnie Graves (Pete) of Saint John and Tammy Woodard (Michael) of Quispamsis, NB; grandchildren, Tina, Amanda, Ashley,Melissa Chad, Natasha, Brady, Garett, Kayla and Scott; great-grandchildren, Brandi, Chloe, Nevaeh and Dexter; sister, Janette Dunn and brother, Ted Burr; special cousins, Audrey and Mary Jane, as well as several nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her brother, Ronnie Burr Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday from 2 -4 and 7 … 9 pm and Tuesday from 2 … 4 and 6 … 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 2:30 pm from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment to take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the Alzheimer’s Society.
