Obituary of James Frederick Keith
Keith, James Frederick … With heartfelt sadness we regret to announce the unexpected death of Jim, in his 50th year, on November 20th, 2009. Devoted husband of Margaret Keith (Brown) for 24 years, Jim loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He held a special place in his heart for his best friend & grandson Kyle. For 13 years Jim was proud to be a firefighter with the Saint John Fire Department. During this time he was the goaltender for their hockey team. He had a passion for hockey as well as hunting and his dogs. He was a dedicated member of the Full Gospel Assembly. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his mother, Lydia; a son, Dwayne Cody (Linda); a daughter, Terry Purdy (Chris); three grandsons: Kyle Cody (Hannah), Adam Chiasson and Sean MacIntyre; two granddaughters: Abigail Purdy and Brittany Nason; one great-granddaughter, Leah Cody, all of Saint John; a brother, Chuck Keith (Terry) of Dartmouth NS; two sisters: Mary Lockhart of Sussex NB and Patricia Brown (Roger) of Victoria BC; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, John Keith (Jack) and brother-in-law, Alden Lockhart. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday November 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In keeping with Jim’s wishes a private family service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
