Obituary of Mildred Ruth Humphrey

Mildred Ruth (Millie) Humphrey, (September 1, 1928- November 8, 2010), wife of the late Gerald F. Humphrey (January 6, 1928 – November 1, 1984), peacefully passed away at home with her son by her side. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late James T. Milne and Sarah Jane (Pike) Milne. Millie loved to travel with her friends. She was also a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #22, before they retired their charter. She was an Auxiliary Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 69 and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Phillip A. Jerguson Chapter # 18. Millie is survived by her son, Timothy F. (Corinne Conwell); granddaughters Julie Humphrey (Kevin Finnigan); Tricia (Dru) Dunham; Barbara (Maurice) Adair; grandson, Timothy C. Humphrey; great grandchildren, Paige, Jessica, Joshua, Nicolas, Lauren, Ethan, Lacey, Noah, Gabrielle. She is also survived by her sister Jane of Foxborough, Mass.; and her B.F.F., Roberta “Bunny” Jennings and all of her family, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Millie is predeceased by her brothers, Neil and James. Millie is resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, November 12, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with a Royal Canadian Legion Tribute Service to be held at 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 13 at 10:00 AM from Brenan’s Chapel. Rev. Wayne Dryer will be officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made the Parkinson’s Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the Community Food Basket Charlotte Street, would be appreciated.
