Obituary of John Mark Alderman

Alderman John “Mark” – The death of John “Mark” Alderman of Grand Bay – Westfield, NB, occurred Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in Saint John. Born in Saint John, he was a son of Mary Grace (Shannon) Alderman and the late Donald James Alderman. Mark was a graduate of the University of New Brunswick, the New Brunswick Community College and Saint John High School. He is President of the Saint John Automobile Dealers Association. Mark is a Past member of the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce and the Yarmouth Rotary Club. Mark was also a member of the Westfield Golf and Country Club. Mark has had a career spanning over 20 years in the auto industry with the following organizations; Coyle Nissan, Centennial Pontiac, Motor Mart, MacPhee Pontiac, Forbes Chevrolet, and O’Regan’s Chevrolet. Surviving are his wife, Janet Rieksts-Alderman; daughter, Emma Grace Alderman; brothers, Donald (Joan) Alderman and Michael (Carol) Alderman; nieces, Gina Alderman, Jennifer Alderman, Sara Alderman; nephew, Christopher (Joumana) Alderman. Visiting will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), on Sunday and Monday from 2-4, 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM from St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Dollard Drive, Grand Bay – Westfield. Interment will be in St. Augustine’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Childhood Cancer Foundation Canada or the St. Vincent de Paul would be appreciated by the family.
