Obituary of Helen Leola Kane
Helen Leola Kane of Saint John, wife of the late Vincent Charles Kane, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Saint John on March 18, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Annie (McDonald) Totten. Helen was an avid bingo player. She is survived by two sons, Rick Gosselin (Wanda) and Dana Kane of Saint John; a daughter, Patty Titus of Saint John West; a sister, Doreen Jones (Harold) of Saint John; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Helen was predeceased by a son, Raymond Gosselin; sisters Edith Chambers and Marion Ayer; and a brother, George Totten. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at which time the funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
