Obituary of Wanita Eliza Mae Marshall
“As Wanita would say yes it is Wanita with a W.” The death of Wanita Nelson - Marshall of Saint John, NB, wife of the late William Marshall, occurred on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on June 16, 1923 she was a daughter of the late Eustace and Isabelle (LeBuffe) Nelson. Wanita was a veteran of the Second World War. She loved children and making friends. Wanita was the matriarch of the family. She was a lady of all aspects. Survived by three brothers, Donald Nelson of Sebright, ON; William (Doris) Nelson of Saint John and Ronald (Jane) Nelson of Gondola Point; three sisters, Dorothy Rimbault of ON; Muriel Farrer of Saint John and Sharon (James) Lister of Lincoln, NB; several cousins especially, Delores, Nancy, Calvin and Ann, as well as several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 2:30 pm from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, Wide World Church of God, Children’s Wish Foundation or any charity of the donor’s choice.
