Obituary of David Cecil Fisher
David Cecil Fisher of Saint John passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on May 28, 1945, he was the son of the late Cecil and Winnifred (Bettinson) Fisher. David owned and operated Fisher’s Lock and Security for 35 years. Previous to this, he was a licensed motor mechanic, and had also taught at the New Brunswick Community College. As a well-known and successful locksmith, David attended and enjoyed the many conferences of his trade, sometimes giving the seminars himself, including conferences to the FBI and the CIA in the United States. In his spare time, David would attend the Daybreak Senior Centre Ltd, where he enjoyed the many activities. David is survived by three sisters, Nina Fulton (Lloyd) of Saint John, Joan Stackhouse (Robert) of Stellarton, Nova Scotia, and Shirley Fullerton (Richard) of Quispamsis; three nephews, Aaron Fulton, Scott Stackhouse (Amy), and Jay Fullerton (Julie Gaudet); two nieces, Kelly King (Victor) and Jenny Logan (Darren); and several cousins. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 10:00 AM from Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Since the family will provide flowers, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer Society or any charity of choice would be appreciated. www.brenansfh.com.
