Obituary of Doris Maude Savoie
The death of Doris Savoie, wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Savoie occurred at her residence on Sunday, August 22, 2010. She was born on March 23, 1921 at Anagance Ridge to the late William and Nina (Church) Patterson. Doris worked at the TB Hospital and Saint John Regional Hospital until her retirement. She was member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the senior’s club at the CYO building. Doris loved puzzles, playing cards, eating out and shopping. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Doris is survived by one brother, Burton Patterson of Sussex, NB; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Besides her husband and parents, Doris was predeceased by three brothers, Lawrence, Harold and Frank Patterson and six sisters: Mabel Howard, Agnes Waddell, Ethel Parlee, Laurina Smith, Myrtle Mortenson and Florence Krahn. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo Street on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 12:05 PM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
