Obituary of Nancy Betty Stevenson
Nancy Stevenson of Saint John, wife of Theodore Stevenson, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Nancy was born in Margate, England, on September 9, 1924. Nancy was a timeless volunteer throughout her life, with such organizations as the Brownies, Girl Guides, and recently until her illness a volunteer with the Saint John Regional Hospital. Nancy was a member of the Mission Church in Millidgeville, where she also took an active role in helping out with church activities. Nancy is survived by her husband, Theodore; three sons, Garfield (Brenda) of Nova Scotia, John (Francine) of Bloomfield, and Paul (Sheila) of Prince Edward Island; six grandchildren, Tracey, Shelley, Rachel, Jason, Christopher, and Jeffrey; and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Church of St. John Baptist (Mission Church) and St. Clement, 819 Millidge Avenue, Saint John, on Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 2-6 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the church, followed by a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
