Obituary of Philippe Sylvio Michaud
Philippe Sylvio Michaud of Rothesay passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Edmundston on September 15, 1959, he was a son of Yvonne (Doiron) Michaud and the late Ovila Michaud. Phil worked for Atlantic Towing Ltd, and was an Associate Member of the Kennebecasis Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He enjoyed playing pool and darts, and had all the talents of a “jack of all trades”, which he was using to renovate his home. Although Phil was a hard worker, in his leisure time he enjoyed bon fires in his backyard, and enjoyed the company of his many friends. In addition to his mother, Yvonne of Saint John, Phil is survived by his children, Vennessa Michaud of Edmonton, Alberta, and Philippe Michaud Jr. (Rachael Flewelling) of Rothesay; a grandson, Brayden; brothers and sisters Theresa Flewelling (Jim) of Moncton, Raymond Michaud of Rothesay, Gerald Michaud of Moncton, Patsy Wasson (Mark) of Saint John, and Frankie Michaud (Carol Ann) of Saint John; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his father, Phil was predeceased by an infant daughter, Natasha. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 10:00 AM from Brenan’s Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances to the Spina Bifida Association would be appreciated by the family.
